It is with great pleasure that EUROCHAM Malaysia announces the appointment of Karl Godderis as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Karl will assume leadership of the organisation, taking on full responsibility for its operations and strategic direction.

Karl has close to 30 years of experience working in the South East Asian region across both management consulting and executive roles. Hereby both strategically and operationally focused on topics related to Overseas FDI and cross-border M&A in and around this region. Furthermore, over the past 20 years through various board roles he personally contributed to growth and development of various European Chambers of Commerce, both in Malaysia and Indonesia.

We would also like to extend our sincere thanks to the outgoing CEO, Steven Rouche, for his invaluable contributions to the chamber. During his tenure, he significantly strengthened EUROCHAM’s advocacy efforts and enhanced the value we deliver to our members. Moving forward, Steven will continue to support the European community in Malaysia and especially the EU Delegation with a focus on the EU Footprint Study in his new role as EUROCHAM Project Consultant.

In the face of a challenging global and regional environment, EUROCHAM is well-positioned to strengthen economic ties between the European Union and Malaysia. Under Karl's leadership, the organisation will renew its focus on advocacy efforts and work toward the successful implementation of a targeted Free Trade Agreement, further enhancing the EU-Malaysia economic relationship.
