Dr. S. Sri Umeswara is a circular economy, waste & environmental management expert consultant. He is the Malaysia Delegate and Subject Matter Expert at UNEP (United Nations Environment Programme) Export Group on Marine Litter and Microplastics. he was appointed as the Subject Matter Expert for the UNEP & the Coordinating Body on the Seas of the East Asia (COBSEA) baseline study, to develop Plastics Material Flow Analysis (MFA) and implement the Reducing Marine Litter Project by addressing the management of the Plastic Value Chain in South East Asia (SEA Circular).
Hi-Tea with MITI, a newly introduced event by EUROCHAM Malaysia was successfully executed yesterday!
EUROCHAM Malaysia collaborated with the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) together with our fellow member Novartis Malaysia on the Hi-Tea session with our distinguished guest of honour, YBhg Dato' Sri Norazman Ayob, Deputy Secretary General (Industry), Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI).
The session commenced with an uplifting and enlightening opening speech by EUROCHAM Malaysia Deputy Chairman, Mr. Luciano Pezzotta, followed by an insightful keynote by our distinguished guest of honour YBhg Dato' Sri Norazman Ayob, Deputy Secretary General (Industry), MITI who gave a detailed insight on the ever-growing industry. We were then graced with an address by our host, Dr. Mohamed Elwakil, Country President of Novartis Corporation (M) Sdn Bhd who delivered a short yet profound speech to kickstart the session.
The Polish Trade and Investment Agency (PAIH) extended an invitation to EUROCHAM Malaysia to attend the 20th edition of beautyexpo and the 17th edition of Cosmobeauté Malaysia in a whole new unified experience. PAIH participated in the beautyexpo as they brought local Polish brands to Malaysia to showcase their locally developed beauty products as well as look into emerging into the Malaysian market.
EUROCHAM Malaysia CEO, Mr. Sven Schneider together with the team was welcomed by Mr. Khairul Ridhwan, Acting Head of Foreign Trade Office Malaysia, Polish Investment & Trade Agency. EUROCHAM Malaysia had an official visit to the pavilion at the beautyexpo and Cosmobeauté Malaysia that was organised by PAIH to show our support and learn more about future collaborations that we can have as well as assist in facilitating future EU-MY business collaborations and partnerships.
