We were delighted to host a meeting with our fellow member, AVCO Corporate Services, represented by their CEO, Mr. Antonio Viñal, and Mr. Hedi Oudhini, at the EUROCHAM Malaysia office. As ASEAN grows, the FMCG sector is pivotal to its economic landscape, especially in the food & beverage industry. With ASEAN’s consumer market projected to be among the world’s top 10 by 2030, this sector faces regulatory and logistical hurdles that require innovative solutions.

On behalf of the EU-ASEAN Business Council, this session will dive into key topics: from harmonizing Front and Back of Package Labelling (FoPL & BoPL) systems to exploring non-tax incentives for healthier product reformulations. We'll also discuss collaborative approaches to tackle issues like rising obesity, varying standards on health labels, and the adoption of digital solutions for seamless cross-border trade.
