Sincere thanks to Mr. Gopi Ganesalingam, Chief Digital Industry Officer (CDIO), and Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) team for inviting Mr. Oliver Roche, Chairman of EUROCHAM, and Mr. Sven Schneider, CEO of EUROCHAM Malaysia to the continuation of 2019/2020 discussions on bilateral trade between Malaysia/ASEAN to Europe meeting at ASEAN Data Analytics eXchange (ADAX), Bangsar.

We thank MDEC for the insightful and fruitful meeting as we discussed various topics including the initiatives that could strengthen the relationship of both organisations including the planning of potential events and collaborations. We also thank the whole MDEC Team for exchanging great suggestions and ideas.

Join us as we connect and discover more about the logistics sector through an engaging and experiential networking event. During the event, there will be an engaging Fireside Chat Session moderated by Mr. Sven Schneider, CEO of EUROCHAM Malaysia with Mr. Mario Lorenz, Managing Director of DHL Supply Chain Malaysia.

EUROCHAM Malaysia has also extended an invitation to a representative from the Ministry of Transport Malaysia (MOT) to deliver the keynote speech and to share pertinent details about the supply chain during the Fireside Chat session. The event will also include a visit to the DHL Supply Chain warehouse and some light fare in the evening.

It was a great session as we discussed and shared past and future collaborations and strategies of EUROCHAM Malaysia and the Embassy of France in Malaysia.

We thank Mr. Michel Cywinski for taking the time to attend this in person meeting, we look forward to more meetings like these to strengthen and bolster the alliance for a prosperous EU-MY partnership.

The EUROCHAM Malaysia delegation led by Mr. Oliver Roche, the Chairman of EUROCHAM Malaysia, and Mr. Sven Schneider, CEO of Malaysia is pleased to have received a warm welcome from Dato'​ Dr. Amirudin Abdul Wahab, the CEO of CyberSecurity Malaysia, and the team for the Technical Meeting for the Cybersecurity and Defence Sector Committee at Cyberjaya on the 1st of November 2022.

This call objectively discusses the current issues pertinent to cyber security including cybercrime and threats, shortage of cybersecurity talent, and weak readiness for digitalisation. Aligned with the meeting’s objective, also discussed is the potential collaboration with EU Delegation to organize the cybersecurity event and engagement to build a competency framework for talent development and to coordinate cybersecurity and defence awareness digital campaigns.

The banking industry has launched the National Scam Awareness Campaign (NSAC) in conjunction with the Financial Literacy Month 2022 exhibition as a continuation of its efforts to combat and educate consumers regarding scams.

The campaign, supported by Bank Negara Malaysia (BNM), is jointly organised by the Association of Banks in Malaysia (ABM), Association of Islamic Banking and Financial Institutions Malaysia (AIBIM), and Association of Development Finance Institutions of Malaysia (ADFIM).

BNM deputy governor Datuk Marzunisham Omar said during the campaign, the public can expect to see more prominent scam awareness advertisements, messages, and prompts on banks' own channels as well as mainstream and social media.

"I understand there will also be community outreach programmes to educate the public," he said at the launch of NSAC at IPC Shopping Centre on Sunday.
