During the Hi-Tea session, there will be a fireside chat on MITI's current policy agenda for 2022 and future plans for 2023.

The wearing of face masks will no longer be mandatory indoors, Khairy Jamaluddin announced Wednesday (Sept 7).

The Health Minister said effective immediately, the use of face masks will only be compulsory when using public transportation on buses, trains, planes taxis, e-hailing vehicles as well as at hospitals and medical institutions.

He said its use in other areas are now optional, but the ministry strongly encourages use of face masks when in crowded places like night markets, places of worship and stadiums.

EUROCHAM Malaysia conducted a very insightful and fruitful Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) sector committee meeting yesterday. On behalf of our corporate partner, Siemens we would like to share that Siemens donates school supplies and care packages to underprivileged students. A collaboration together with Siemens and Medical Awareness Camp Outreach to identify schools in need. The students of SJK(T) Ladang Braunston were given care packages and school supplies to improve their educational experience.

To celebrate Merdeka this year, Siemens recently organised an internal donation drive where employees donated new and pre-loved school supplies, sports equipment, and toys to underprivileged students. In addition, the company donated 110 care packages with essential items such as rice, cooking oil, sugar, flour, and crackers.

The resolution stresses the importance of, and urgent need to, raise public awareness at all levels and to promote and facilitate actions to improve air quality.
