The Ministry of Health Malaysia announced the following control measures and SOP relaxations effective from 1 May 2022.

• COVID-19 SOP Relaxation from 1 May 2022;
• MySejahtera Check-In is No Longer Required from 1 May 2022;
• Masks Wearing Rules and Recommendations from 1 May 2022; and
• Procedure for Inbound Travellers from 1 May 2022.

'Act together to build a positive safety and health culture'

The Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) has issued a media statement regarding the Review Of Control Measures During The Transition Phase To Endemic – media statement as follows:

Beginning April 1, 2022, Malaysia has entered the Transition to Endemic Phase following the effectiveness of public health prevention and control measures, including the COVID-19 vaccination program in managing the transmission of COVID-19 infection in the country.

The health service system is now at an improving stage with the rate of hospital admissions of COVID-19 cases and the use of intensive care wards declining. This success was also contributed by the public's awareness of the importance of adopting the preventive measures recommended by the Government. Therefore, the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) would like to thank and congratulate all Malaysian families for their cooperation.
