EUROCHAM Malaysia Visit to PERSOLKELLY Malaysia: Unlocking HR Excellence

EUROCHAM Malaysia had the pleasure of visiting our esteemed member, PERSOLKELLY Malaysia. We were warmly welcomed by Mr. Kamarul Dato' Marzuki, Associate Director of National Business Development and Sales, and Mr. Akid Ahmad, Manager of National Business Development and Sales. They delivered a presentation of their services and took us on a site visit to their office.

PERSOLKELLY is one of the largest end-to-end HR solutions companies in the APAC region, offers services such as temporary and contract staffing, permanent hiring, executive search, HR consulting, training, outplacement, and outsourcing. With over 45 offices in 13 countries and more than 3,500 employees, they provide comprehensive support across the region.

EUROCHAM Malaysia had a highly productive meeting with the Malaysian Timber Certification Council (MTCC) yesterday. We had the pleasure of meeting with Dr. Farrah Shameen Mohamad Ashray, Chief Executive Officer; Rashidah Abdul Rahman, Secretary to CEO; Akmal Saarani, Director of Product; and Muhammad Hasif Azizan, Senior Executive of Communications & Marketing. We delved into discussions about the Malaysian Timber Certification Scheme (MTCS) and explored potential collaboration opportunities.

The MTCC is dedicated to promoting sustainable forest management and ensuring that timber products sourced from Malaysia meet stringent environmental and social standards. The MTCS, recognised by the Programme for the Endorsement of Forest Certification (PEFC), is pivotal in this mission, providing a framework for certifying timber products that support sustainable practices.

EUROCHAM Malaysia is excited to learn how we can support MTCC’s mission in promoting a sustainable supply chain. By aligning with MTCC, we can offer our EU business community access to responsibly sourced timber, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and contributing to global sustainability goals.

EUROCHAM Malaysia had the honor of attending the Malaysia Digital (MD) Open Day, hosted by our esteemed member, Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) today.

Our CEO met with Ts. Mahadhir Aziz, CEO of MDEC, and Datin Roslaini Mohd Nazar, Senior Manager of the Expats Services Centre at MDEC which sparked insightful conversations about our future collaborations and foreign knowledge worker process improvements.

During the event, we connected with industry leaders, innovators, and key stakeholders in the digital sector, fostering crucial relationships for future growth and collaboration. We gained valuable insights into the latest MD tax incentives, application process improvements, talent and funding facilitation, and the National e-Invoicing initiative.

EUROCHAM Malaysia had a highly productive meeting with Advantage Austria yesterday at their office. This engagement provided an excellent platform for them to introduce their dynamic team and the diverse sectors they specialise in.

Our in-depth discussions covered critical areas such as market access, regulatory issues, and the exciting potential for future collaborations. The insights exchanged and synergies identified mark the beginning of a promising partnership poised to drive impactful initiatives.

We had an incredibly productive courtesy meeting with the Malaysian Spanish Chamber of Commerce & Industry - La Cámara last week! Our CEO had the pleasure of meeting with Ms Carol Edwin, the Executive Secretary of La Cámara, where we dove deep into discussing the current status of our organisations and explored some fantastic collaboration opportunities for the future.

We were also honoured to have Mr. Jordi Pol Ramon, Chairman of La Cámara and EUROCHAM Malaysia Board Member, share his valuable insights. His vision for La Cámara and unwavering support for EUROCHAM Malaysia have set a strong foundation for our collective goals moving forward.
