Ministry of Transport Malaysia issued a media release regarding the Receiving, Loading, and Unloading Activities for Imported Non-Essential Goods and Cargo Permitted in EMCO Areas for Export and Import Purposes - media release as follows:
The Ministry continues to ensure that port-related warehouse and container yard capacities nationwide remain uncongested so that economic supply chains are not hindered by the pandemic’s challenges and to assist industry players in carrying out their businesses safely and efficiently.
We welcome the National Security Council’s (MKN) approval for a special permission in a letter dated 13 July 2021 to permit all handling, receiving, loading, and unloading activities of imported non-essential goods and cargo for export and import purposes in areas under Enhanced Movement Control Order (EMCO).
