The Malaysian Investment Development Authority (Mida) had approved 4,230 green technology projects worth RM41 billion as of 2023, said Deputy Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Liew Chin Tong.

He noted that the government's comprehensive 'whole-of-government' approach had yielded significant growth in green technology investment.

"This underscores Malaysia's potential in green technology investment. It has been noted that most approved projects are in the solar segment," he said during a question-and-answer session in the Dewan Negara on Tuesday.

On behalf of our fellow member, The International School of Kuala Lumpur (ISKL) we would like to share about the 44th Annual Southeast Asia (SEA) Forensics and Debate Tournament.

The International School of Kuala Lumpur’s (ISKL) 44th Annual Southeast Asia (SEA) Forensics and Debate Tournament was held at its campus in Ampang Hilir from January 25 to 27, 2024.

Initiated by ISKL in 1979 to encourage public speaking and debate skills, the tournament is one of the longest-running traditions at ISKL. It provides an excellent opportunity for students to improve their public speaking and performance skills while promoting and strengthening intercultural connections with their peers.

This year, the tournament saw the participation of students from eight schools, including government, private, and international schools, competing in seven categories. 28 High School students from ISKL and 119 students from participating schools took part, including the International School of Kuantan, SMK Convent Bukit Nanas, St John’s Institution, Kolej Tuanku Ja’afar, SMK St Mary, SMK Jalan Empat, Kolej Yayasan UEM, and the Shanghai American School.
