On behalf of our fellow member Knight Frank, we would to share the newly launched report, Malaysia Hospitality Investment Intentions Survey Report – 2023 that is now available.

This survey report provides insights into the investment outlook of hotel owners, operators, and owner-operators. It delves into the levels of investment interest and the investment preferences of hotel investors.

EUROCHAM Malaysia was invited to attend and witness the Ericsson Imagine Live Malaysia 2023 that was launched today and graced by YB Fahmi Fadzil, Ministry of Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) and Mr David Hagerbro, CEO of Ericsson together with Tan Sri Mohamed Salem, Chairman of Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission, YBhg. Datuk Mohamad Fauzi bin Md Isa, Commission Member of Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission, H.E Michalis Rokas, The Ambassador and Head of the EU Delegation to Malaysia, Mr Robert Lejon, First Secretary, Deputy Head of Mission, Economic & Political Affairs, Embassy of Sweden, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, and En Mahadhir Aziz, CEO of the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC). The event revolved around the theme of digitalisation strategy evaluation from three vital perspectives: Operation Efficiency, Product/Service Differentiation, and Business Models. It emphasized the pivotal role of connectivity as a strategic enabler.

YB Fahmi Fadzil delivered a compelling keynote address, underscoring the necessity of digitalisation in various sectors, including the economy, education, and healthcare. He emphasized that digitalisation is a cornerstone of Malaysia's national plan, driving growth and income, particularly in rural areas, thereby strengthening the nation's economic prowess.

Furthermore, YB Fahmi expressed optimism about the accelerated economic growth through the New Industrial Master Plan (NIMP) 2030, with an ambitious target of reaching 80% by year-end. Malaysia's leadership in 5G within the Asian region was proudly acknowledged, with 5G poised to be a catalyst for every sector.
