EUROCHAM Malaysia is honored to have hosted H.E. Darius Gaidys, Ambassador to the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania to the Republic of Singapore, for a special courtesy visit at our office. This meaningful interaction, orchestrated by EUROCHAM Malaysia, marked an exciting step towards stronger international ties.

During this visit, we delved into an insightful dialogue about the Embassy's visionary plans in Malaysia. Their aspiration to foster Lithuanian business endeavors and nurture various industries aligns perfectly with our mission of driving collaborative growth within the EU business community.

EUROCHAM Malaysia CEO, Mr Sven Schneider presented an overview of EUROCHAM Malaysia's pivotal role within the European business landscape, laying the groundwork for potential synergies between the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania and EUROCHAM Malaysia. The prospect of future collaborations sparked enthusiasm and the promise of innovative ventures.

We're thrilled to have participated in the insightful Focus Group Discussions on EUDR and CBAM as part of the Arise+ Malaysia Workshop, focusing on the EU Green Deal.

Joined by a stellar lineup including ITC experts, representatives from MITI, MATRADE, NRECC, and industry leaders, the discussions were nothing short of dynamic and impactful.

The engaging sessions were divided into specialised CBAM and EUDR focus groups, allowing us to dive deep into these essential topics. ITC experts did a stellar job recapping critical aspects of the regulations, from scope to reporting obligations and greenhouse gas emissions calculations.

Policy suggestions and recommendations poured in, aiming to provide local manufacturers with tools to navigate the EUDR and CBAM landscapes effectively.
