MYFutureJobs Recommendation for Foreign Worker & Expatriate Application

Following Malaysian Government initiative to prioritise local employees in filling the vacancies before the positions are allowed to be filled by foreign workers or expatriates, Perkeso (SOCSO) announced the requirement to obtain MYFutureJobs Recommendation from SOCSO as the pre-requisite for foreign worker and expatriate applications.

Effective 1 November 2020, employers are required to advertise job vacancies for at least 30 days on MYFutureJobs and obtain MYFutureJobs recommendation from SOCSO for the applicaton of hiring foreigners (applicable to all sectors).

For your kind info, the Government has imposed a moratorium on the intake of new foreign workers until 31 December 2020. However, employers may proceed with expatriate applications as usual.

Employers can apply exemption for:

- Expatriate Key Posts by submiting a PAPD Form and an appeal letter. For urgent positions and employers have received a recommendation from the approval agency, such applications will be directly referred to the Expatriates Placement Committee for immediate consideration.

- Renewal applications for Expatriates from Catergory I with justification.
