The National Security Council (NSC) of Malaysia has released a new SOP for Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) in Mukim 12, Barat Daya District, Penang from 6-19 November 2020. A number of key highlights:

• Government and private meetings involving the attendance of external agency representatives are NOT ALLOWED and must be conducted virtually.  Whereas internal meetings must follow the Public Office Department (JPA) Circular and MITI Guidelines.

• Religious activities, entertainment activities, seminars / workshops / conference / exhibitions, mass events, education activities, sports and recreational activities are generally not allowed, unless stated otherwise in the SOP.

• Only 2 persons are allowed in a single vehicle for the purpose of obtaining food / basic necessities, medical and other needs.

• Air travelling through Penang International Airport requires PDRM permission first.

• Dine in is allowed with maximum of 2 customers per table with compliance to social distancing and SOPs.
