The EU has commissioned a country gender analysis for Malaysia recently and we are very glad that our CEO, Sven Schneider, was invited to share his thoughts and upcoming initiatives on gender equality / women empowerment topics, via a virtual interview today with Mia Hyun, the appointed consultant for this project. Being the EU Chamber of Chambers, EUROCHAM Malaysia is very well in line with EU’s strategy to achieve a Union of Equality, by spearheading and promoting gender equality initiatives among the European business community in Malaysia, particularly in tackling key issues such as:

• Lack of women in leadership role
• Gender stereotyping
• Workplace discrimination
• Balancing work and caring responsibilities
• Support for pregnant women and new mothers
