Following the recent extension of CMCO (affected areas only) to 31 December 2020, The National Security Council of Malaysia has released the updated CMCO SOPs. Key highlights as below:
- Business events (related to Meetings, Incentives, Conventions and Exhibitions) / seminars / workshops / courses / trainings / conferences / talks are allowed to operate at 50% capacity of the premise with compliance to social distancing, mandatory use of face masks & relevant CMCO SOPs.
- Domestic tourism & cultural activities are generally allowed to operate at 50% capacity of the premise in compliance to social distancing, mandatory use of face mask and relevant CMCO SOPs (unless prohibited under the prescribed negative list).
- Mass ceremonies are allowed to be operated at 50% capacity of the premise with compliance to social distancing, mandatory use of face masks and relevant SOPs.
- Updated negative list for Non-Allowable activities: -
- Add-on exception for cinemas located in green zones within CMCO area to operate
- Add-on exceptions for tuition, music, dance, art, study, language classes etc. to conduct as usual in green zones within CMCO areas.
