According to The Statistics Department of Malaysia, a healthier economic outlook is anticipated in the coming months based on Malaysia’s recent Leading Index (LI) performance and the implementation of the National COVID-19 Immunisation Programme.
The Department of Statistics Malaysia said in a statement that the positive developments were in line with the forecasts by local and international agencies that expected a better economic condition this year.
Significant contributors to growth were driven by Manufacturing Index from sub-sectors Transport & Other Manufactures (8.4%), Petroleum , Chemical, Rubber & Plastic Products (7.7%) , and Electrical & Electronic Products (7.6%).
