COVID-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF): Current Issues as of May 18, 2021

Here are the highlights from the recent statement by Minister of Science Technology and Innovation, Khairy Jamaluddin regarding the current issues regarding the COVID-19 Immunisation Task Force (CITF):

Vaccine Supply and Vaccine Purchase by States: The COVID-19 Immunization Task Force (CITF) would like to reiterate its commitment for free & adequate supply of vaccines to all eligible individuals in each state for the implementation of the National COVID19 Immunization Program (PICK). 

Vaccine Donations by External Parties: CITF also welcomes any efforts from any party that would like to help PICK by donating a supply of vaccine doses to PICK or states, provided the vaccine that will be donated has received NPRA approval. 


Time Interval between Vaccine Doses: CITF and COVID-19 Vaccine Supply Access Committee (JKJAV) take note of suggestions and considerations from Singapore and other countries to lengthen the interval the time between two doses of COVID-19 vaccine in their vaccination program. 


Attendance at the Vaccination Center (PPV): CITF would like to advise the public to first check the own-risk status of COVID-19 in the MySejahtera app before coming to PPV to get vaccinated.
