[MEDIA RELEASE] MINISTRY OF TRANSPORT MALAYSIA - NOTICE ON ENHANCED MOVEMENT CONTROL ORDER IN SELANGOR AND KUALA LUMPUR

Ministry of Transport Malaysia has issued a media release regarding the notice on Enhanced Movement Control Order in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur - media release as follows:

Due to high COVID-19 infectivity trends in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur, the National Security Council (MKN) based on Ministry of Health guidance, has decided to implement an Enhanced MCO in Selangor and several localities in Kuala Lumpur from 3 to 16 July 2021.

In line with this decision, the Ministry of Transport informs the following updates to agencies and matters under its purview:

- JPJ, APAD, PUSPAKOM, and JLM Counter Services 

- Travel Approval Letters from SMILE

- Private Vehicle Use

- Taxi and E-Hailing Services

- Public Transport and Logistics Industries

- Compliance to Covid-19 Prevention SOP
