A media statement has been issued by YAB Prime Minister Dato' Sri Ismail Sabri Yaakob regarding Transformation of Parliament and Government Administration – media statement as follows:

The Cabinet meeting today has agreed and committed to implementing the Transformation of Parliament and Government Administration to restore the political stability to deal with the COVID-19 outbreak and revive the economy

This is in line with the advice of His Majesty, Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah Ibni Almarhum Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Al-Musta’in Billah, and the Malay Rulers on the importance of a stable administration that could function normally in a situation where the country is facing a various crisis.

The government is of the view that focus, and priority should be given by all parties to ensure the political and administrative stability of the country to fight against COVID-19 as well as economic recovery.

The offer also aims to create a new political landscape by implementing transformation and reform in government administrative governance in particular strengthening the role of Parliamentary institutions.
