Congratulations to the Immigration Department of Malaysia, under the Ministry of Home Affairs (MOHA), on the launch of the Expatriate Service Division Satellite Centre (ESC) that happened today at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA 1).
The launch of the ESC was officiated by YB Dato’ Seri Hamzah bin Zainudin, Minister of Home Affairs, and Dato’ Indera Khairul Dzaimee Daud, Director General of Immigration Department.
The ESC is a service transformation facility for new expatriates who will be working in Malaysia. It is located at the Arrival Hall, Level 3 in KLIA 1. The launch commemorates the official operations of the ESC and will work at full force 24-hours a day to provide the ultimate service to support expatriates coming into Malaysia from all around the world.
Under the new process, an approval letter for an employment pass will be issued while an expatriate is abroad and payment will be made online – upon arrival, the expatriates can collect their employment pass at the ESC.
The launch event attended by EUROCHAM CEO, Mr. Sven Schneider was well received and a good initiative to improve services and work processes provided by the Immigration Department. EUROCHAM Malaysia would like to thank the organisers who worked together on the successful launch of the ESD Satellite Centre (ESC).
We would like to thank YB Dato’ Seri Hamzah bin Zainudin, Minister of Home Affairs for the vibrant discussion he had with EUROCHAM CEO, Mr. Sven Schneider over lunch, we look forward to more engagements as we bolster alliances for a better EU-MY partnership.
