REINFORCEMENT ACTIONS FOR PREVENTION AND CONTROL MEASURES CORONAVIRUS DISEASE 2019 (COVID-19) FOR TRAVELERS FROM OVERSEAS

A press release has been issued by the Ministry of Health Malaysia regarding Reinforcement Actions for Prevention and Control Measures Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) for Travelers from Overseas – media statement as follows:

As of December 6, 2021, a total of 43 countries have reported cases of COVID-19 infection with the new Omicron variant. Out of the 43 countries reported, eight (8) countries have been imposed temporary travel restrictions which started on November 27, 2021, and five (5) other countries have reported the transmission of the Omicron variant in their community. Those countries are as follows:

Accordingly, to prevent the entry and transmission of this variant into Malaysia, the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) would like to inform that the reinforcement actions for preventive and control measures will be in place and will be available for travelers arriving in Malaysia according to the following categories:

1. Vaccinated Travel Lane (Air);

2. Vaccinated Travel Lane (Land);

3. Langkawi International Tourism Bubble (LITB);

4. One-Stop Center (OSC) for short-term business visitors;
