EUROCHAM Malaysia conducted a very insightful and fruitful Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) sector committee meeting yesterday. In attendance were Mr. Sven Schneider, CEO of EUROCHAM Malaysia, Mr. Chew Phye Keat, Head of the IPR sector committee & Partner, Azrul, Liew & Co, and the EUROCHAM Malaysia team, alongside other committee members, that include:

-Mr. Muhammad Azrul Abdul Hamid, Partner, Azrul, Liew & Co;

- Dr. Chris Hemmingway, Patent, Trade Mark and Design Attorney and Agent for Marks & Clerks (CH);

- Mr. Francesco Floris, Head of Trade and Economic Relations, EU Delegation to Malaysia;

-Mr. Carmelo Ferlito, CEO of the Centre for Market Education

During the committee meeting, we highlighted and discussed the updates on IPR topics from the committee members, as well as the discussion of upcoming IPR-related events and engagements. We also acknowledged the challenges pertaining to the IPR industry which we will coordinate to find sustainable solutions moving forward.
