Hi-Tea with MITI, a newly introduced event by EUROCHAM Malaysia was successfully executed yesterday!
EUROCHAM Malaysia collaborated with the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI) together with our fellow member Novartis Malaysia on the Hi-Tea session with our distinguished guest of honour, YBhg Dato' Sri Norazman Ayob, Deputy Secretary General (Industry), Ministry of International Trade and Industry (MITI).
The session commenced with an uplifting and enlightening opening speech by EUROCHAM Malaysia Deputy Chairman, Mr. Luciano Pezzotta, followed by an insightful keynote by our distinguished guest of honour YBhg Dato' Sri Norazman Ayob, Deputy Secretary General (Industry), MITI who gave a detailed insight on the ever-growing industry. We were then graced with an address by our host, Dr. Mohamed Elwakil, Country President of Novartis Corporation (M) Sdn Bhd who delivered a short yet profound speech to kickstart the session.
To successfully conclude our Hi-Tea with MITI, we had the privilege of YBhg Dato' Sri Norazman Ayob, Deputy Secretary General (Industry), MITI joining the fireside chat with our CEO, where members and guests were able to experience an immersive discussion about the EU Digital Strategy on digital inclusion and sovereignty, as well as ethical use of innovative technologies for smooth interactions between people, processes, data and technology. As well as the manufacturing sector that has played an important role in transforming the Malaysian economy from an agriculture-based economy to industry-based which has entailed Malaysia to have receive substantial amounts of annual foreign direct investments (FDI) inflows from the manufacturing sector over the past decade amongst other topics that were discussed.
