In this meeting, YB has highlighted the concept of Science, Technology, Innovation, and Economics (STIE) introduced by the National Science, Technology and Innovation Policy (NSTIP) 2021-2030 in the importance of STI development as a basis for supporting the country's economic growth. To strengthen the role of STIE, the need for coordination, understanding, and development in various fields of science and technology is very urgent, as it is able to create and strengthen the foundation, to innovate and apply science and technology, to drive the national economy, and make Malaysia a high-tech country by 2030.
To further solidify and support the alliance for a more fruitful collaboration between the EU and Malaysia, EUROCHAM Malaysia looks forward to arranging additional discussions with the MOSTI in the future.
