Ministry of Finance - Budget 2024 Engagement Session

EUROCHAM Malaysia was invited to participate in the Budget 2024 Engagement Session chaired by YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Prime Minister of Malaysia and Minister of Finance which happened last week.

With the preparation process for Budget 2024 underway, this session in Putrajaya kick-started a series of nationwide engagements, gathering inputs and budget proposals from various sectors.

Joined by 400 representatives from ministries, associations, business councils, economists, scientists, NGOs, and international organisations, the event fostered collaboration and dialogue. Notable attendees included YB Datuk Seri Ahmad Maslan, Deputy Minister of Finance I, YB Steven Sim Chee Keong, Deputy Minister of Finance II, and YBhg Datuk Johan Mahmood Merican, Treasury Secretary-General.

We thank the Ministry of Finance for inviting us to attend such an engaging event - we look forward to attending more events like these to strengthen and bolster alliances for a prosperous EU-Malaysia partnership.
