EUROCHAM Malaysia had the honor of attending the Malaysia Digital (MD) Open Day, hosted by our esteemed member, Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) today.
Our CEO met with Ts. Mahadhir Aziz, CEO of MDEC, and Datin Roslaini Mohd Nazar, Senior Manager of the Expats Services Centre at MDEC which sparked insightful conversations about our future collaborations and foreign knowledge worker process improvements.
During the event, we connected with industry leaders, innovators, and key stakeholders in the digital sector, fostering crucial relationships for future growth and collaboration. We gained valuable insights into the latest MD tax incentives, application process improvements, talent and funding facilitation, and the National e-Invoicing initiative.
A highlight was the session on National e-Invoicing by Mr. Saiful Izwan Mohd Shazali, Director of National e-Invoicing & Standardisation at MDEC. This system is set to revolutionise business transactions with greater transparency, efficiency, and cost savings. For the EU business community, this means streamlined operations, reduced administrative burdens, and enhanced cross-border trade.
The MD Open Day significantly enhanced our understanding of MDEC's pivotal role in advancing Malaysia's digital economy. These advancements offer substantial benefits to both local businesses and the EU business community, paving the way for collaborative growth and innovation.
We are excited about the opportunities this event has opened up and look forward to working closely with MDEC to drive the digital economy forward.
