Meeting with the President of Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR)

EUROCHAM Malaysia CEO, Mr Sven Schneider, and the Deputy Head of the Education Sector Committee held a meeting with Universiti Tunku Abdul Rahman (UTAR) today and were pleased to have received a warm welcome from Ir. Professor Dato' Dr Ewe Hong Tat, President of UTAR, and Ir. Dr Chua Kein Huat, Chairperson of the Centre for Railway Infrastructure and Engineering, to discuss potential collaborations.

During the productive meeting, several exciting proposals were put forward, aiming to foster stronger ties and create mutually beneficial opportunities. EUROCHAM Malaysia expressed its intention to explore research partnerships for EU-Malaysia businesses, trade, and investment. By joining forces, we aim to unlock new insights and drive innovation in various sectors.

EUROCHAM Malaysia is also eager to explore opportunities in establishing a government relations course and promoting advocacy-related workshops for students pursuing Political Science, Economy, and International Relations. This initiative aims to equip future leaders with the necessary skills to navigate the complexities of government affairs.

Furthermore, additional collaborations were discussed, including workshops and seminars to enlighten supporting partners of UTAR on the EU sustainability agenda, particularly the Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) framework. UTAR also extended a warm welcome to EUROCHAM Malaysia to visit their scenic Kampar campus.

We anticipate holding more similar meetings to further strengthen and bolster alliances for a more prosperous EU-Malaysia partnership.
