The Minister of the Ministry of Economy, YB Rafizi Ramli, joined forces with H.E. Børge Brende, the President of the World Economic Forum, and Fabian Bigar, the CEO of MyDIGITAL. This collaboration with the World Economic Forum aims to position Malaysia as a regional economic hub, emphasizing the significance of digital business, energy transition, and innovation, including the adoption of 5G and AI technologies. The Ministry of Economic played a crucial role in promoting the digital economy and energy transition as Malaysia centre for the 4IR. Participated in a round table discussion on Energy Transition, during the discussion, various initiatives were discussed focusing on green mobility, job creation, and incentives within Malaysia's energy transition plan. The challenges of policy maturity and leveraging local talent were acknowledged, highlighting the importance of energy storage and youth employment. Overall, this event shed light on the opportunities, challenges, and strategies associated with technology, energy transition, and economic growth in Malaysia and the surrounding region of ASEAN.
