A new public-private training initiative has been launched to help small and medium enterprises adopt AI-enabled tools and messaging-based commerce to reach customers and grow their businesses. This reflects a broader push to close the digital adoption gap among smaller businesses, which make up the vast majority of enterprises and workforce in many economies but often lack access to advanced digital capabilities. Micro, small and medium enterprises are the primary beneficiaries, with free training resources being rolled out as part of a wider national goal to significantly raise MSMEs' contribution to economic output by the end of the decade.
