ABOUT THIS COMMITTEE
EUROCHAM Semiconductor Committee brings together European leaders across the semiconductor and electronics value chain, from chipmakers and equipment suppliers to materials providers and facilities enablers.
The committee focuses on shaping how Malaysia’s National Semiconductor Strategy and New Industrial Master Plan 2030 are implemented, on the shortage of advanced IC design and process engineering talent, and on the industrial infrastructure the sector depends on, including renewable energy access, ultrapure water supply and ESG reporting aligned with EU requirements. It also works to ensure high-tech supply chain priorities are reflected in the Malaysia-European Union Free Trade Agreement negotiations, and gives members a confidential platform for export control and compliance questions. Engagement runs through MITI, MIDA and the Ministry of Finance on incentives and trade, TalentCorp and the education ministries on talent, and the Energy Commission and utilities on power and water.
