MITI Outreach Session on Advantages of CPTPP and RCEP

EUROCHAM Malaysia had the privilege of participating in the MITI Outreach Session focused on the Advantages of CPTPP and RCEP, held alongside YBhg. Datuk Seri Isham Ishak, Secretary-General MITI. MITI graciously presented insights into the potential benefits of CPTPP and RCEP for businesses in Malaysia. Moreover, they generously shared their expertise regarding Trade in Goods within the CPTPP and RCEP framework, as well as provided valuable information on Rules of Origin for both agreements.

During the session, a substantial portion was dedicated to a thoughtful exploration of state-owned enterprises (SOE), thoughtfully conveyed by En. Arunan Tan Sri Kumaran from KPDN. The Ministry of Finance (MOF) contributed to the conversation as well, with En. Wan Azwar Zaihan Wan Ahmad providing a detailed perspective on the intricacies of government procurement within the scope of CPTPP and RCEP.
