The government has directed the Human Resources Ministry (MOHR) to immediately process the first 15,000 foreign worker applications to address labour shortages in key sectors and support economic activity. The move follows the transfer of full responsibility for the One-Stop Centre for Foreign Worker Management to MOHR. The ministry said the change is intended to strengthen governance in foreign worker recruitment while enabling industry labour needs to be managed more efficiently and systematically.
