Malaysia’s Health Ministry is emphasising the use of accurate, evidence-based data to guide healthcare reforms and address structural challenges within the health system. Health Minister Datuk Seri Dzulkefly Ahmad said current reforms include healthcare digitalisation, sustainable health financing and measures to safeguard the welfare of frontline workers, with a focus on addressing underlying issues rather than temporary solutions. The comments were made during the 11th Asia Congress of Toxicology, which also saw the launch of the Asian Registered Toxicologist initiative to promote regionally aligned competency standards in the field.
