Malaysia is pushing to expand its electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure to keep pace with the country’s growing EV adoption, with the government targeting 30,000 public charging points nationwide. The initiative highlights the need for charging infrastructure to develop alongside EV uptake, particularly as Malaysia works to strengthen its broader electric mobility ecosystem. Faster deployment of reliable and accessible charging facilities will be important in supporting consumer confidence, encouraging EV adoption and advancing Malaysia’s transition towards cleaner transportation.
