Rural communities in Malaysia continue to face gaps in access to healthcare, with challenges including limited medical facilities, shortages of healthcare professionals and difficulties accessing specialised services. These disparities highlight the need for stronger healthcare infrastructure and service provision outside major urban centres, particularly in rural and underserved areas. Greater attention to rural healthcare access remains important to improving the availability of healthcare services across different communities.
