Malaysia’s manufacturing sector recorded RM177 billion in sales in June 2026, representing a 9.8% year-on-year increase, according to the Department of Statistics Malaysia (DOSM). Growth was led by the electrical and electronics (E&E) sector, which expanded 18.7%, while export-oriented industries grew 10.6% and domestic-oriented industries rose 7.7%. For the first half of 2026, cumulative manufacturing sales reached RM1.03 trillion, up 7.4% year-on-year, with sales value per employee also increasing by 6.1%.
